The region of Os Ancares

The region of Os Ancares lucenses is composed by the councils of As Nogais, Baralla, Becerreá, Cervantes, Navia de Suarna and Pedrafita do Cebreiro.

Os Ancares is characterized by his undoubted value as natural reservation, but his valleys, his mounts, his peoples are splashed with beautiful and very valuable vestiges of different epochs, with the added one of remaining in an environment scarcely altered by the man.

The sets of pallozas constitute the most important monument, can astonish in Piornedo, in O Cebreiro, in Campo del agua and  in other corners of the region.

Medieval castles like those of Doiras or Donís, country houses, Romanesque and pre-romanesque churches and several hopscotches preromans, offer to the visitor the opportunity of a real dip in lost ages.
